Background
The Foundation has provided more than $2.2 million in support to the students and staff of Kearney Public Schools (KPS) since it was founded in 1982. Every year, we provide professional staff of KPS an opportunity to receive up to $1,000 to support innovative learning programs for Kearney students. Our purpose is to continue our mission of providing resources to and recognition of the students and staff of Kearney Public Schools.
Criteria for Selection
Requests for up to $1,000 will be considered.
Funds received by the applicant can offset the expenses of projects costing more than $1,000 (for example, a project can cost $2,000 and a $1,000 Foundation grant can be used to pay for half of the project's cost).
A review committee consisting of Foundation representatives and KPS administrators will review applications and recommend funding to the Foundation's Board of Directors.
The Foundation reserves the right to alter awards to less than $1,000 at its discretion.
Each request must benefit current students.
Each request must be for items or programs not normally purchased by the district budget.
The Foundation announces grant recipients:
Grant-funded projects must be completed by December 1, 2008. Grant funds unclaimed by that time will be pooled and used in the 2009 minigrant competition.
If you have any questions, please call at 8030.
Thank you!
