KPS FOUNDATION DIRECTOR
The Kearney Public Schools Foundation Board is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Foundation Director.
This will be a full time position.
Education: BA/BS Degree in Business/ Communications or Related Field Preferred
Experience: Foundation Development and Fundraising, Office Management, Community Relations
Position Description:
The Director will be responsible for the daily administration and management of the Kearney Public Schools Foundation. The duties include fund development, marketing, building an endowment, financial management, supervision and coordination of volunteers, building and maintaining strong community support for the Foundation built upon respect and trust earned by the demonstration of responsible stewardship.
Job Duties:
1. Provide leadership in developing strategic organizational plans with the Foundation Board of Directors.
2. Establish and maintain a comprehensive fund development program to create and maintain revenue for the Foundation to carry out its mission of support for Kearney Public Schools.
3. Establish and maintain fiscal responsibility in all aspects of the Foundation’s operations.
4. Provide the Board with detailed monthly reports on the finances and activities of the Foundation.
5. Actively recruit, train and supervise effective volunteer groups.
6. Create and build an Endowment Fund Development program.
7. Work closely with the Merryman Performing Arts Center to supervise and collaborate with MPAC to ensure effective and efficient facility operation.
